DESCRIPTION:Do you have a project in your organisation that needs volunteers? \nVolunteeringACT partners with the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) each year to deliver the Weary Dunlop Activity. \nThe Weary Dunlop Activity is a large-scale volunteering activity that sees first-year Training Officers contributing their time to the Canberra community. Through this experience\, Training Officers gain a deeper understanding of the lived experience in our community and how people are supported through volunteering and community services. This partnership provides community organisations with an opportunity to boost their volunteering power for a day and tackle projects with teams of volunteers. \nThis year\, the Weary Dunlop Activity will be held from Thursday 13 October to Friday 14 October 2022. \nProjects can include anything from refreshing your office gardens\, donation sorting\, providing conversation to community members\, to technical support. \n \nWant to know more? Attend an information briefing \nVolunteeringACT will host information briefings for Weary Dunlop 2022\, on Wednesday 24 August\, Wednesday 31 August and Wednesday 7 September 2022. \nThese briefing sessions aim to provide organisations with a clear idea of the Weary Dunlop activity\, what opportunities you have as an organisation\, and how to get involved. \nThe sessions will be hosted via Microsoft Teams by the VolunteeringACT Projects Coordinator. \nWeary Dunlop Information briefing for organisations Session 3 \nDate: Wednesday 7 September 2022 \nTime: 10:00am – 10:30am \nLocation: Microsoft Teams \nRegistrations will close at 5pm\,  Tuesday 6 September. DESCRIPTION:As a volunteer or volunteer coordinator\, it can be difficult to maintain boundaries in your role and with those you work with. This workshop will identify what boundaries are\, why boundaries & mental wellbeing are so important\, and how to manage difficult situations\, how we can apply mental health\, wellbeing & resilience to volunteering. \nThis training is delivered in a hybrid format.
