DESCRIPTION:VolunteeringACT is pleased to host our final online networking event of the year. \n\nDate – Friday 15 August 2025\nTime – 2:00pm – 3:00pm\nLocation – Online [Microsoft Teams]\nTheme – Engaging student volunteers \nOur monthly networking events aim to provide a platform for professionals in the volunteering sector to come together\, share information and updates\, and openly discuss current challenges we are facing\, as we continue to adapt our volunteer programs in these ever-changing circumstances.\nThe networking event will be hosted via Microsoft Teams by the VolunteeringACT Team\, and is completely free to attend. \nThe theme this month is: Engaging student volunteers \nIn celebration of National Student Volunteer Week (4-10 August) during this session we’ll discuss: \n\nWhat students and young people want out of volunteer experiences\nWork experience vs volunteering – what’s the difference?\nWhat barriers students and young people may face in engaging with young volunteers\nHow organisations can engage students and young people\nAvailable resources and supports\n\nA meeting link will be sent to all registered attendees prior to the session.
