SUMMARY:National Standards for Volunteer Involvement Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The National Standards for Volunteer Involvement are a national best practice guide for volunteer involvement. \nWith the release of the refreshed Standards in February 2024\, this four-hour workshop will assist your organisation to prepare for the implementation of the National Standards\, as well as understand what has changed under the new Standards. You will begin to unpack the changes that will be needed for your organisation to meet the requirements of the National Standards and begin the process of reviewing your  organisations  performance using the Gap Analysis Tool. \nOutcomes \nBy the end of this session\, you will: \n\nbuild a comprehensive knowledge of the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement;\nidentify room for improvement in your own organisational setting;\nunderstand how to address gaps in your organisation; and\,\nbe equipped with the tools to assess and improve volunteer involvement.\n\nAll attendees will be provided with a hard copy of the National Standards Implementation Guide and Workbook\, as well as key tools and resources. \nDate: Tuesday 9 September 2025\nTime: 12:00pm – 4:00pm (4 hours)\nLocation: VolunteeringACT Events & Training Hub\, Level 3\, 202 City Walk\, Civic (Picture below)\nParking: Canberra Centre has parking available on the rooftop for $15 a day\, alternatively the venue is located very close to the tram stop and bus station if you wish to take public transport.\nCatering: Tea\, Coffee & snacks will be provided. \nMember Discounts \nFor our Essentials for Volunteer Managers and our National Standards for Volunteer Involvement workshops\, members can access special discounts:\nAccess Member – member price\nSupport Member – buy one get one half price\nLead Member – buy one get one free \nVolunteer Manager Foundations Training Pack\nCost – $416 (20% discount on top of discounted member price)\nTraining pack includes: \n\n1 x ticket to National Standards for Volunteer Involvement Workshop\n1 x ticket to Essentials for Volunteer Managers\nAbove support and lead member discounts may not be applied to this special package\nTickets purchased within this pack are non-refundable but can be transferred to a colleague within the organisation\, tickets are valid for 12 months.\n\nPlease reach out to membership@volunteeringact.org.au if you’d like to discuss our member training discounts and special packages. \nVolunteeringACT is committed to inclusion of people of all backgrounds and abilities.
