Available services

Mediation

A structured, voluntary process, led by a third party to bring people and organisations together to talk about issues causing difficulty or conflict within an organisation. Mediation provides a safe and confidential space for participants to explore issues, understand each other’s perspectives, and co-design mutually acceptable solutions.

Conflict and communication coaching

One-on-one sessions with a practitioner to develop tailored strategies and tools for resolving interpersonal conflict in the workplace. These are only available if the VolunteeringACT member has requested the service. Services must relate to workplace conflict and communication and cannot be for personal use.

Facilitation

Guiding two or more people through a structured dialogue so they can explore issues and co-create solutions. The facilitator holds space and manages the process to ensure all voices are heard. Often the parties in a facilitation session would not see themselves as “in dispute”, or in need of mediation, but simply in need of assistance to facilitate communication or decision-making.

Restorative conferencing

A structured, facilitated conversation that brings together staff impacted by harmtypically the person whose actions caused distress and those affected by itto collectively address what happened, explore its impact, and agree on a plan to repair relationships and restore trust. This may include paid staff, volunteers or service
