We would like to thank everyone who attended and supported the 2026 Volunteering Expo. Your enthusiasm, participation, and positive energy made the occasion truly memorable. We are also thankful for the continued support of University of Canberra and Newstime Media in making our Volunteering Expo a successful event.
Our annual Volunteering Expo is the leading exhibition for volunteer involving organisations in the ACT and region, where exhibitors connect with Canberra’s enthusiastic volunteers and potential volunteers who are eager to make a difference.
2026 is the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development. Our Volunteering Expo is part of this global momentum recognising volunteering as the driving force for sustainable development.
The 2026 Volunteering Expo was on Friday, 20 March at the UC Refectory, Bruce from 1pm to 6pm.
Key highlights:
- Nearly 60 volunteer involving organisations exhibited this year, attracting over 900 visitors.
- 19 organisations were first-time exhibitors.
- Exhibitors were from 20 different service areas, and 26 offered youth volunteering opportunities.
- Everyone who gave feedback said they want to join us again at the 2027 Volunteering Expo.

VolunteeringACT membership is offered at half price from January to May each year.
Boasting a diverse membership base that spans from small community groups to large charities and government agencies, VolunteeringACT proudly represents and advocates for more than 200 organisations.

Members also benefit from our public policy knowledge and advocacy work and can access the latest research and reports related to volunteering and community information.
