Tricks, Traps and Cyber Hacks: How AI is changing cyber threats for not-for-profits
22 Oct 2026 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
| FreeVolunteeringACT are working with Tammy Ven Dange from Roundbox Consulting to host this free online training webinar.
Cyber threats are becoming harder to spot. New technologies can now help hackers create convincing emails, cloned voices, fake documents and realistic websites, while everyday use of public AI tools can introduce new privacy and security risks.
For volunteer managers, who often work with busy teams, with differing levels of technology skills and limited resources, knowing what to watch for has never been more important.
In this practical session hosted by Volunteering ACT, technology advisor Tammy Ven Dange of Roundbox Consulting will explain what’s changing and what you can do about it. You’ll learn how to:
- Recognise some of the new tricks behind the latest scams and impersonations
- Reduce the risks created when staff and volunteers use public AI tools
- Take simple, practical steps to better protect your people and organisation
Designed especially for volunteer managers, this plain-English session will help you understand the risks without the jargon or scare tactics, and how you can keep yourself and your organisation safe.
