VolunteeringACT is the peak body for volunteering and provides community information services in the Canberra Region.

We deliver inclusive services and information that connect people with their community and enables participation. We lead the design and delivery of high quality, safe, ethical and sustainable volunteering.

Canberrans are known for their generous spirit and strong sense of community.

We know from The State of Volunteering in the ACT Report 2024: Canberrans volunteer in huge numbers: 75% of ACT residents aged over 15 years volunteered in 2023 (279,000 people), contributing over 63 million hours and generating more than $14 billion of value for the Canberra Region.

Every day, local volunteers give their time, skills, and care to support people, strengthen organisations, and build a community where everyone can belong. From helping people access essential services, to reducing social isolation, to creating pathways for inclusive volunteering and community participation, volunteering changes lives.

Your donation will support our vision of an inclusive Canberra that values volunteering and connection as central to wellbeing and a thriving community.

It will help us to continue supporting programs that connect people to meaningful volunteering opportunities, strengthen volunteer involving organisations, and provide community information and support for people experiencing disadvantage, disability, isolation, or barriers to participation.
