National Volunteer Week is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering. During the week, we acknowledge and celebrate the contribution of volunteers in our community.
Every year during National Volunteer Week, we organise two key events – Volunteering Expo and Volunteering Conference (formally known as Volunteering Symposium) to promote volunteering in the community and upskill professionals in the volunteer landscape.
The Volunteering Expo
The Volunteering Expo is a fun and interactive event for the Canberra community to find their next volunteering role.
Whether you are passionate about environment, community welfare, education, science, arts or media, there is something for everyone at the expo.

The Volunteering Conference
The Volunteering Conference is a full day professional development program that brings together volunteer managers, volunteer coordinators and subject matter experts and provides a platform to share insights and best practices in the volunteering landscape.
