2022 Volunteering Symposium
Our Volunteering Symposium, to be held on Monday 16 May 2022, will set the tone for National Volunteer Week, highlighting the importance of volunteering in the Canberra region and offering information on various areas for those involved in this community.
The full list of speakers will be updated shortly, with some returning from the 2021 Volunteering Symposium.
The 2022 Volunteering Symposium is a full-day professional development opportunity dedicated to Managers and Coordinators of Volunteers, followed by an evening session for current and aspiring Board and Committee Members.
Over the four daytime sessions, Managers and Coordinators of volunteers will hear from industry professionals, sector leaders and innovators, learn about the changing face of volunteering, volunteering recovery, and how volunteer management practice is evolving.
The evening session will focus on ‘Governance 101’ and give attendees a chance to understand how governance underpins all successful organisations. This is a really useful session not only for those interested in moving into a Board or Committee position but also for all Managers and Coordinators of volunteers.
