Canberra’s Choice Award recognises a nominee who has won the hearts of the Canberra community. The winner of this category is chosen through public voting, highlighting the power of community recognition and appreciation of volunteer efforts.
All nominees of the 2025 Volunteering Awards, Canberra Region are automatically eligible for this award.
There are no specific eligibility criteria for this award category and descriptions below have been provided by the nominators.
The voting portal is live on VolunteeringACT’s website from 12pm Wednesday, 29 October 2025 until 12pm Monday, 10 November 2025.
RULES
- To cast the vote, you need to enter your email address, name, pin code and verification code received via provided email address.
- You cannot vote for more than one nominee per hour.
- All other nominees are blocked the moment the vote is submitted for a nominee.
- Note, although the portal shows the option to ‘vote again’, you cannot submit a vote using the same email address. You can still go through the process to enter verification code but when you hit submit, a pop up with appear stating ‘already contest’ and your vote will not be submitted.
